Graphic Design, UI, and Visual Identity
As the former managing editor and head of video production of the St. John's College High School Sabre, a student-run journalistic organization, I was responsible for creating the team’s visual brand identity.
Aside from delegating tasks to section editors, composing team schedules, and ensuring successful runs of weekly videoed news productions, I collaborated with prospective computer scientists to design the user interface of the paper’s website. Throughout my years in the organization, I also worked to create cohesive transitions and motion graphics for news shows to promote viewer engagement, and I designed logos to unify varied student outputs.
My work helped increase the visual quality of the organization’s outputs while creating a lasting impact on standardized graphics for the paper.

Logos and typography
For the primary logo of the website, I utilized the existing visual motifs of the high school (e.g. the crest and the serif font) to provide visual cohesion between the organization and the broader institution, appealing to students' senses of ethos and creating an authentic brand image. Adobe Express and Procreate served as tools for the logo and its variation.
I designed the additional "Six Burning Questions" logo for a video interview series imitating the YouTube show Hot Ones. Using Procreate, I modified the Futura font to mimic neon lettering and the existing Hot Ones logo, seeking to convey energy through type.
